I have to re pair my touch controllers every single reboot.4 votes
We’re very sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Touch controllers. You should not have to re-pair your Touch controllers on each reboot. If this issue is still occurring, please reach out to Oculus Support so they can help figure out what’s going on: https://support.oculus.com/885981024820727/
In latest ptr update dash bar (at least for me) cannot go lower than original size desktop window so to see desktop completely need to move bar much closer.84 votes
So many times people trying my Rift hit the home button(s) by accident. There is no easy way to guide the user back said nice you can’t tell what they are seeing and it’s a huge immersion killer when it happens. The more physical games like Sprint Vector make accidental hits more common and in the case of a race, ultimately it costs you the whole game to pause out. Why can’t we disable the home buttons unless they are long pressed?309 votes
Thanks for the feedback! The long press option was added as part of the September Rift software update (SI 1.30). To enable this functionality, press the Oculus button to pull up Dash, select Settings from Dash, and then choose the the Dash section from the Settings menu. You can toggle the long press functionality on or off there!
Not sure what the issue is - but Steam VR games have degraded in performance from an FPS perspective significantly since the 2.0 update. Something to do with how the Oculus VR Dash view interacts with the Steam VR 'Dash Equivalent'. Noticed significant framerate drops and hitching/microstuttering in Steam VR games.
Went back to vanilla Oculus Store until this is resolved.
Edit: Was downvoted for reporting this performance issue.53 votes
Additional performance improvements were made in the new SI release. Full update notes available here: https://forums.oculusvr.com/community/discussion/60977/rift-si-1-22-now-available-on-public-test-channel
I want to be able to edit avatar in home, rather than going to the avatar changing place?11 votes
Thanks for your suggestion! This feature was implemented. The Avatar Editor item can be found within the Special Items subsection of your inventory and placed anywhere in your Home. Enjoy!
As someone who is completely new to the gaming world (this is my first experience) and not in their 20's or 30's, I think what you have done is beyond amazing. I feel like Minority Report has come to my home.
There is a whole group of us that are just along for the ride, and want you developers to know that you are doing a fantastic job, and are really bringing technology to the everyday person . I/we are looking forward to what ever is next in the pipeline!
Keep up the GREAT work guys and gals. :-)
Thanks so much for the kind words! See you in VR! -)
